2018 Annual Fundraiser - Wilton Takes a Stand:
Breaking the Cycle of Sexual Harassment and Assault
On March 29, 2018, the Wilton Woman's Club held its 11th Annual Fashion Show & Luncheon, Wilton Takes a Stand. Our 2018 beneficiary is the Domestic Violence Crisis Center and Wilton Domestic Violence Task Force. The DVCC in Stamford is, per capita, the largest provider of domestic violence services in the United States and is the largest provider of emergency crisis shelters in Connecticut. It serves more than 3,000 women, men and children annually and reaches more than 20,000 students annually through educational programs like PeaceWorks. With the Club’s donation, the Wilton Task Force will be able to offer more educational programming, including discussions with young men and their parents to raise awareness about sexual harassment and assault.
In 2017, the WWC raised $40,000 for its beneficiary, the Wilton Youth Council, for an initiative to fight the rising opioid epidemic.

Each spring, we attract over 220 women from Wilton, CT and surrounding towns, who come together for a luncheon and fashion show at Rolling Hills Country Club, to give to a worthy cause. In 2017, the club granted $40,000 to the Wilton Youth Council for programs to fight drug addiction and the opioid crisis.
