General Meeting

Please join us at our February WWC Members Meeting, at 10am on Monday, February 5, to hear from our 2018 11th Annual Fashion Show and Luncheon Beneficiary.

Women who have experienced sexual assault and harassment are bravely coming forward to tell their stories as never before. In this watershed moment, communities around the country are reassessing how to keep girls and women safe in their homes, schools, and workplaces.

The Wilton Woman’s Club is supporting educational programs for our town’s children to promote a behavioral shift with its fundraiser on March 29, “Breaking the Cycle of Sexual Harassment and Assault: Wilton Takes a Stand.” The funds we raise will benefit the Wilton Domestic Violence Task Force (DVTF) of the Domestic Violence Crisis Center (DVCC), which has been supporting families who struggle with violence and sexual abuse for 20 years.  DVCC’s PeaceWorks Project provides age and grade-appropriate programming to educate young people about healthy relationships, conflict resolution, bullying, and the dynamics of dating violence.

Please come to our February general meeting to hear from:
  • Pamela Davis / DVCC Director of Legal Services
  • Jennifer McNamara /  DVTF Board Chairperson
  • Margaret Creath / Youth Services Programs Manager for Wilton Youth Services
  • WWC Member Barbarajean Segall/ DVTF Board Member
We will discuss these grass roots educational programs and the impact they have on ending sexual harassment and abuse.  Please bring your donations to the new DVCC safe house. Thank you!

Please register for the meeting (see black Register button at left), so that we know what numbers to expect. Refreshments will be served!

Note: Location is WEPCO church complex, 48 New Canaan Road
